I’m Erik, a student and Apple consultant currently working my way towards a bachelors degree in systems engineering at Edinburgh Napier University.
I’m a calm, curious and dedicated person who likes to explore new open-source projects and tinker with my home lab setup. When not behind the keyboard you’ll likely find me walking around in the city or hiking in the mountains outside of Edinburgh.

When my dad started his own business, I had the opportunity to help him set up web hosting and email. Rather than going straight to Squarespace or similar vendors, I decided to set it up myself and learn some things along the way. I’m now maintaining a Ubuntu hosted LAMP-stack based WordPress installation, routing traffic to it via Cloudflare, striving to make it as secure and fast as possible.

My role at Kullander has evolved over the years, starting with providing support and education to home users and growing into working exclusively with our corporate customers.
Initially, I worked full time for two years in Sweden in the office and on-site at our clients. I later had the opportunity to scale my role down to a part-time commitment alongside university, exclusively working remotely.
In my current role, I provide second and third line support to corporate end-users, help automate our business procedures and systems with APIs and Python scripting, support colleagues in developing our services offering and help manage our internal systems. I’ve got experience in setting up and working with Office 365, VMware ESXi, Freenas and Truenas, Jamf Pro, Cisco Meraki and Code42 Crashplan, among other things. As my university course is heavily focuced on networking, I also aid in designing and supporting our network deployments at clients offices.

My degree focuses on the design and evaluation of network systems hardware and software. The course covers general systems knowledge, networking of systems, security and cryptography, programming, project management and database systems.
